Are Mascara & L'Atelier dresses true to size?

In our experience, they do tend to come up on the smaller side. We’ve had quite a few returns where customers have found these dresses too small, so we would recommend going up a size rather than choosing your usual size. If you’re between sizes, we’d definitely recommend sizing up.

Measurements are taken from the garment and are intended as a guide. Comparing them with a similar garment you already own can help you choose the most suitable size.

We hope you'll love your purchase from Signature Dress, but if something isn't quite right, you're welcome to return your item for a refund.

UK & Non-EU Returns

- Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery.

- Once your return has been approved, you have a further 14 days to send it back.

- Customers are responsible for return postage.

- Returns should be sent using a tracked service, as the parcel remains your responsibility until it reaches us.

- A flat £20 handling charge applies per order, regardless of how many items are returned.

- If you keep at least one item from your order, the £20 handling charge is waived and you'll only pay the return postage.

- There is no handling charge if you choose an exchange or store credit instead.

- Original delivery charges are non-refundable.

Store Credit

Store credit is valid for 12 months from the date it is issued.

How to Request a Return

To request a return, simply log into your self-service account and submit a return request for the item(s) you'd like to send back.

Please allow up to 24 hours for your request to be approved. Once approved, you'll receive full instructions on how to return your item.

There's no need to message us – everything is handled through your online account.

Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

- Unworn and unused.

- In the same condition as received.

- With all tags attached.

- In its original packaging.

- Returned with proof of purchase.

Items with deodorant marks, makeup, stains, pulls, runs, perfume or smoke odours, or any signs of wear will not be accepted for a refund. All garments are carefully inspected before dispatch to ensure they leave us in perfect condition.

Items bought or collected in-store are sold as seen and are excluded from our online returns policy.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If your item is damaged, faulty, or you've received the wrong item, contact us within 3 days of delivery so we can assess the issue and put it right. Claims reported after this period may be declined.

European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If your order is delivered to a country within the European Union, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of delivery, without giving a reason.

To exercise this right, you must notify us within those 14 days through your self-service return account. Once you've notified us, you have a further 14 days to return the item.

For statutory EU withdrawal returns:

- Customers are responsible for return postage.

- Returns should be sent using a tracked service, as the parcel remains your responsibility until it reaches us.

- The £20 handling charge does not apply.

- Items must be returned unworn, unused, with tags attached and in their original packaging.

- Original standard delivery charges will be refunded where required by applicable EU consumer law.

- We may withhold your refund until we receive the item back or you provide proof that it has been returned, in accordance with applicable EU consumer law.

Refunds

Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll let you know whether your refund has been approved.

If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method within 5 business days. Please note that your bank or card provider may take additional time to process the payment.
